Play Therapy uses play as a natural form of communication to help children express emotions, process experiences, and develop healthy coping skills. Through a safe, supportive, and developmentally appropriate environment, children can build emotional regulation, problem-solving abilities, self-confidence, and stronger relationships.
Play therapy is appropriate for children ages 3 through 10 to meet them at their developmental level and support emotional growth.
Parent involvement and coaching are an integral component of play therapy, when appropriate. Parents are supported in understanding their child’s emotional and behavioral needs and are provided with practical strategies to reinforce therapeutic progress and promote positive change at home.
