LIZ NISSIM

PH.D. / LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST / CERTIFIED SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. Liz is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Certified School Psychologist with extensive experience supporting children and families across public and private school settings. She has served as both a Child Study Team member and Coordinator within the public school system, where she collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate student needs, develop individualized interventions, consult with teachers, and train paraprofessionals.

In 2009, she pursued private practice on a part time basis out of her former dining room. In 2012, her private practice work became her full time gig. She remained in her home office until 2017, when her team expanded and she brought on more therapists to help her provide services to children, teens, young adults and their families. She combined her clinical expertise with her school psychology background and created a practice that provided a wide array of support with the help of her team.

Today, she and her team are available to serve ages 3 through adulthood. The goal is to look at the whole person and the systems that surround them. She works side by side with special education and family lawyers to serve as their expert to help students gain access to the education that best suits their needs based on the findings of her thorough and comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations. She also provides CBT, IEP review and optimization, parent coaching and executive functioning coaching. Her expertise includes behavior management, social-emotional development, and fostering collaborative environments that empower people of all ages to thrive.
